Finance Assistant, Dorchester, 37hrs, Mon-Fri, Long Term temporary role. £11.18 ph.

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to work within a busy Local Authority Department. We are looking for a confident, organised Finance Assistant, with excellent communication skills. You will provide high quality support to ensure accurate financial management. Based in Central Dorchester with Hybrid opportunities after training.

As a Finance assistant, your role will be varied but will include:
  • Assisting with budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Leading operational payment processing.
  • Checking and paying invoices.
  • Preparation of management/financial reports.
  • Proper maintenance of financial records.
  • Develop and contribute the team's performance.

As a Finance assistant, you will act as an ambassador for Financial Services at all times. Meaning you will have the ability to network with other local authorities and organisations. As well as suppliers, and customers. You should bring your previous experience to the role, as well as:
  • Excellent IT Skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of accounting.
  • Evidence of working co-operatively in a team.
  • A positive and flexible can-do attitude.
  • Meeting deadlines and performance targets.
  • 5 GCSE's at grace C or above including English and maths, or equivalent.
