Overall Job Purpose:
To support the Senior Finance Manager in timely Management Account reporting
Analyse variances and challenge them.
To make sure we comply with all audit controls and that there is evidence of this.
To own the balance sheets and be accountable for them
Preparation of the monthly management accounts for review with the Senior Finance Manager. Investigating and understanding the causes of any variances and suggesting corrective actions, liaising with the budget holder as appropriate.
Production of the Group MMA & monthly reporting pack (3 Divisions).
Responsible for the payroll process within the 2 businesses.
Responsible the capex process for the two manufacturing businesses escalating appropriately.
Analysis of financial trends, budget deviations, providing recommendations for corrective action, following up on implementation.
Deliver high quality management iformation on a timely and consistent basis.
Responsible for making sure we are compliant with all audit controls
Experience of working with Internal and External Audit teams in providing evidence.
Assists in the preparation, and delivery of the manufacturing AOP submitting in accordance with relevant regional deadlines
Ad hoc requests covering a wide range of activities that require evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information.
Future progression to manage staffRequirements
Educated to a minimum level of MAAT or QBE
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role
Excellent Numeracy Skills
Experience in Manufacturing would be advantageous
Must have excellent Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
Work independently and part of a team.
Good interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills.
Possess analytical skills to overcome complexity.
Capable of working under pressure and managing a diverse workload. Also ability to manage remotely given the geographic coverage of the role.Benefits
