Credit Controller required for a temporary to permanent opportunity based on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Credit Control, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices and adherence to credit terms
  • Review and assess credit applications, establishing credit limits and terms for new and existing customers
  • Conduct credit checks and analysis on customers to mitigate risk and prevent late payments or defaults
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and other channels to follow up on outstanding invoices, resolve payment discrepancies, and negotiate payment plans when necessary
  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and finance teams to address customer inquiries, disputes, and credit-related issues
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and credit risk assessment for management review


Experience:
  • Previous Credit Control experience (2 years Minimum)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
