  • Preparing appropriate, accurate, timely and relevant Management Accounts, within a pre-defined format for detailed review by Assistant Financial Controller.
  • Preparation of full supporting P&L variance analyses, against forecast and budget.
  • Timely and detailed Balance Sheet reconciliations for review and approval.
  • Closing off month end and running of month end reports.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the financial reporting requirements of the internal Business Control Framework and other risk management procedures.
  • Acting as support to the Assistant Financial Controller and RFC.
  • Reviewing and developing current reporting methods to improve accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Completion of ad hoc external reporting requirements eg ONS requests
  • Assisting with the preparation of business forecasts and variance reporting against them.
  • Assisting with and preparing ad-hoc reports issued by the Finance department and assist in the financial support of the rest of the business.
  • Working closely with a shared services transactional team to ensure all transactional records are appropriately maintained; accurate, up to date and processed in accordance with all Rotork Group control guidelines.
  • Working with the shared service credit control team to manage external debt to set targets.
  • Ensuring clear control, accountability and visibility of company assets and liabilities.
  • Reporting of local accounting information for group consolidation via Onestream.
  • Promoting financial awareness, techniques, and support into the rest of the business.

Qualifications

Ideal Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years accounting or finance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Worked within a business with a defined corporate government process.
  • Partially qualified with a recognised professional finance body.
  • Demonstrated the ability to review financial areas and identify control weaknesses suggesting actions for improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets, MS Office and used several ERP systems.
