The role

You’ll support the preparation of the Annual and Internal reports in glossy format complying with the Wates principles of the CG code with support from the FR team. You’ll provide support using SAP to obtain reporting evidence for audit and preparation of accounts and ensure statutory compliance with the groups 49 statutory entities under UK GAAP. You’ll support in preparation of IFRS and you’ll provide on-going accounting support to divisional finance teams / FP&A / commercial teams to ensure any accounting implications are factored into any commercial decisions appraisals and impact on reporting is understood.

What will make you successful in the role?

You’ll have an ACA Chartered Accountant qualification with experience in PLC Annual and Interim reports with an understanding of governance requirements. You’ll have a strong background in designing, implementing and reviewing financial processes, procedures and controls in large businesses. You’ll have strong IT skills, including Excel and preferably a knowledge of SAP. You’ll have strong communication skills both written and oral with proven experience in influencing senior stakeholders and the ability to summarise complex information into concise and value added insights.
