The Consultancy Group are working with a global Retail business that operates across 35 different countries. This is a great opportunity to manage a team of 3 and be the main point of contact within the Finance team.

In this role, you will assume full responsibility for all day-to-day financial matters concerning our UK-based companies, reporting directly to the Group Finance Director. This position is located in our London office, with the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office).

Main

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare monthly management accounts for all UK companies, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Produce monthly consolidated management accounts for the entire group.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage cash flow, including the preparation of weekly rolling cash forecasts.
  • Finalize weekly supplier payment runs and engage in discussions with suppliers to extend credit terms, in collaboration with the accounts payable staff.
  • Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet items, including the maintenance of fixed asset registers.
  • Process intercompany sales invoices.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for all UK entities.
  • Compile monthly payroll data for submission to the payroll bureau.
  • Calculate all staff bonus and commission payments.
  • Prepare the year-end audit file.
  • Manage and develop members of the finance team.
  • Develop and refine processes to enhance efficiency within the team and its outputs.
  • Assist in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor both team and business performance.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Group Finance Director.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.

• Minimum 2 years post qualified experience ideally in a similar role.

• Experience of managing a team.

• Excellent IT skills including Excel.
