Our client, an established, forward thinking and growing firm of accountants, are looking for a Bookkeeper to be part of their encouraging and supportive team.

  • The production and analysis of monthly management accounts with budget comparisons
  • Analysis work (using Excel)
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Reconciliations of control accounts (including debtors, creditors, payroll, VAT, PAYE/NIC and other payroll related controls
  • As Bookkeeper you will be preparing month end/year-end adjustments including prepayments, accruals, deferred.
  • Income and depreciation
  • Bank, sales, purchase, and nominal ledger postings
  • The processing and reconciliation of employee expenses
  • Credit control
  • VAT returns/reconciliation/reporting
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Managing of client payrolls and pensions schemes
  • Preparation and posting of normal ledger journals and reserves.
  • Fixed assets and depreciation accounting
  • Time recording and billing of clients.

Bookkeeper Candidate Specification:
  • Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience
  • Good time management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • A methodical and attention to detail approach
  • The ability to meet deadlines monthly with flexibility on working hours.
  • The ability to adapt to multiple clients procedures.
