Newly created position within a fast-paced and growing Retail & Wholesale company for a Finance Analyst looking for a role in which you will be immersed within the business.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst, this role will help to support the Retail Operations division and is a broad role that is a blend of commercial/FP&A support alongside ensuring month end of completed.

Working with the off-shore finance team, the role will assist in the month end process by ensuring they have the relevant information to enable the construction of monthly management accounts. These will be reviewed and analysed by you and the SFA to provide value-add information to the business unit at operational level.

The role will also support Stores/Operations (individual/cluster/regional & area) and the business to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of the financial information to help drive performance.

This will include:

Assisting with driving operational KPIs

Labour/cost analysis

Highlight (and ensure a comprehensive understanding of) risks & opportunities

Stock and margin analysis

Financial performance analysis a

Waste analysis

The individual will need to be comfortable with large volumes of data, extracting the information from the analytics platform and ensuring the business is providing with the information in a useful manner. You will be great with numbers, with an analytical mind and commercial acumen.

Candidates with FP&A experience gained within a relevant industry will be considered. Ideally you will have commenced your studies towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA) and have the desire to be a qualified accountant.

As you will be working with the business you will need to have exceptional communication & strong interpersonal skills, alongside a natural confidence and emotional intelligence that will gain credibility and the buy=in from the business.

Candidates with limited experience will also be considered but you will need to have an undergraduate degree from a top tier UK university (First or 2:1), having ideally have studied Economics, Mathematics or similar.
