Immersed within the business, and managing a small team, this position will take the lead in managing the day-to-day finances of the live tours division is a great blend of commercial business partnering whilst overseeing the month end duties.
To be a suitable candidate it is also essential that you are fully qualified and have team leadership experience with an approachable, self-motivated and friendly personality. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, have a natural gravitas, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
This is a great opportunity and an interesting role. People stepping up from a Management Accountant or Finance Analyst role will also be considered (as long as you are fully qualified!)
If you have previous relevant experience gained within a Media or Entertainment and are looking for a varied and interesting role within a fast-paced business this could be the role for you!
Responsibilities of the role include:
Manage, train and develop a small team
Support the divisional management through the provision of tour budgets, client & production/project forecasts; being a key contact and continually monitoring
Support financial reporting and modelling for tours, events and other projects
Track and monitor marketing and promotional spend alongside ticket sales for each event
Oversee the tour settlement process and produce tour reports, analysing cost vs revenue
Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
Monitor & reconcile cashflow, ensuring appropriate action is in place for debtors and creditors
Business Partner the PR & Marketing teams, analyse actuals
Manage the annual budgeting, quarterly and reforecasting
Analyse ticket trends, touring cycle, highlighting risk & opportunities
Support the annual audit process
Quarterly VAT Returns
The ideal candidate:
Fully qualified accountant essential (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or similar)
Proven commercial finance/business partnering experience
Experience ideally gained within a Media, Entertainment, Music or similar environment
Previous team leadership experience
Highly motivated, can-do attitude, results driven
Advanced Excel skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to easily foster great working relationships
Organised, attention to detail, deadline orientated
Logical, intuitive, great initiative and able to drive/adapt to an ever changing environment
