The important things -What will you be doing as a FP&A Analyst

Working closely with the FP&A Senior Manager and Commercial FP&A Senior Director, the successful candidate will have exposure to the executive team in supporting financial planning and decision making and will support the FP&A financial model infrastructure. The role will help the FP&A team to continue to meet the evolving requirements of the business.

It will prepare the role holder to grow with the business and take on more responsibility.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Prepare Workday 1 Trading overview, liaising with regional analytics teams.
  • Support preparation of monthly financial reports for the board and management team, and external reporting to investors and lenders.
  • Investigate monthly variances to budget and what implications these have for overall Group performance.
  • Support preparation of financial reports, including budget / reforecast presentations.
  • Develop and improve the budgeting and forecasting infrastructure, including regularly updating the revenue forecast model, and ownership of bottom-up cost planning for a subset of ATG marketplaces, liaising with relevant stakeholders to produce effective forecasts.
  • Develop an understanding of ATG’s ongoing technology and marketing cost bases and work with budget owners to track and improve efficiency of spend.
  • Support on integration planning and execution for recent and future acquisitions, including implications on leverage and group financing, and integration of acquired businesses into the existing reporting structure.
  • Support on one-off projects / analysis to assist with strategic commercial decision-making.

What you need for success:

  • CIMA / ACA / ACCA.
  • Strong academics.
  • Background in Commercial Finance beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong existing Excel skills are vital. Ideally the candidate has experience of working with large Excel based financial models, but this ability will be developed in-role.
  • Strong eye for detail and desire to develop FP&A skills from top to bottom - This role will play a crucial part in ensuring we have 100% confidence in our numbers.
  • Drive & energy to deliver to deadlines for demanding internal / external stakeholders.
  • Confidence to suggest improvements to existing processes and systems.
  • Desire to understand the underlying business and how FP&A can add commercial insight.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Not required: Pre-existing finance system knowledge - Interaction with ERP is primarily excel oriented and involves loading budgets / forecasts.
