We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant This is a very well-rounded role for an ambitious finance professional, with an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise and insight to inspire our developing talent.


Financial Accounting and Reporting
  • Lead the month end close process ensuring accurate and timely management accounts reporting to the business and wider stakeholders
  • Prepare and review key balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L analysis
  • Maintain fixed assets register
  • Be a technical accounting expert, owning accounting for complex areas such as intangibles, contract accounting, foreign subsidiary consolidation etc.
  • Develop, coach and inspire the Financial Accounting team, managing their workflow and ensuring high quality output across the team
  • Deputising for the Group Financial Controller in day-to-day operations
  • Be the first point of contact for the annual statutory audit in the UK, developing strong relationships with our external auditors
  • Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable Supervisor with their portfolios

Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Oversee the budget preparation and quarterly reforecasting processes for select budget areas
  • Provide confident and thoughtful business partnering to our budget holders all year round
  • Support the Commercial team with ad hoc analysis and reporting to provide critical business insight and support strategic decision making

Financial control and compliance
  • Play a key role in our finance transformation and treasury strategy programmes by implementing and maintaining effective internal control processes
  • Responsibility for pan-European compliance requirements
  • UK Tax activities including quarterly VAT submissions, PSA, CT
  • Acting as lead support for CRM/Sage systems


  • Experienced accounting professional and recently qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent. Open to candidates from both industry or audit background (top 10 practice preferred)
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with people of all levels within the business
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (strong proficiency with LOOKUP, SUMIFs, pivot tables etc. as a minimum requirement)
  • Highly organised with an ability to drive a team towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining high quality output
  • Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to apply common sense and logic
  • Flexible and willing to take a hands-on approach
