RG Consultancy are excited to be working with a thriving construction business, based in Manchester. You will be reporting directly into the head of FP&A and you will be a key part of ensuring this area of the business continues to succeed, this is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress as our client will support you in your studies and you will be reporting into a qualified accountant.

Duties

Data Procurement & Enhancement:
  • Source, acquire, and amalgamate financial information from diverse internal platforms and external outlets.
  • Execute tasks for refining and manipulating data to guarantee precision and uniformity.
  • Formulate and execute processes for ensuring data quality, safeguarding the integrity of the information.

Data Examination & Presentation:
  • Scrutinise financial data utilizing various analytical tools and methodologies to discern trends, patterns, and discrepancies.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations encompassing crucial financial metrics, profitability insights, and performance indicators.
  • Provide support for impromptu data requests, delivering insightful analyses to internal stakeholders.

Financial Pattern Modelling & Projection:
  • Aid in the creation and maintenance of financial models for budgetary purposes, forecasting, and scenario assessments.
  • Contribute to refining and advancing financial forecasting methodologies and tools.
  • Interpret and analyse financial forecasts to pinpoint potential risks and opportunities.

Teamwork & Communication:
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of FP&A and various departments to ascertain data needs and convey insights.
  • Effectively communicate intricate financial information to diverse audiences in a lucid and succinct manner.
  • Engage with the IT department to ensure the implementation of efficient data access and storage solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. (desirable)
  • Qualified/Part Qualified Accountancy Qualification - CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and financial modelling techniques.
  • Proficiency to a high standard in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI and others).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
