Braehead Foods is looking for a National Account Manager to join the team, covering their hotel, restaurant, and events sectors. In this integral role, the National Accounts Manager will have overall responsibility for managing the budget and relationships of a portfolio of 10+ National Accounts. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role is based primarily at the company head office in Kilmarnock, with monthly travel required to clients nationally.

The successful candidate should be ambitious, well organised and motivated to work in an evolving business experiencing significant growth.



Responsibilities:

  • Day to day responsibility for managing relationships and budgets across a portfolio of major national accounts with current turnover of £6m-£7m.
  • Identifying and delivering incremental group business opportunities to drive growth in the sector.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports and presenting to senior leadership team.
  • Visiting major group customer head office contacts for face to face meeting and performance review on a quarterly basis.
  • Providing a responsive and customer-oriented service while maximising commercial opportunities within existing clients
  • Preparing accurate budgets and forecasts for all accounts.
  • Driving business through unit level utilising our regional sales team in line with group agreements.
  • Maintaining and negotiating product files for customers.
  • Developing and driving the product mix and sales strategy for each customer.
  • Achieving agreed growth targets for sales, profit, retention and new business KPIs.
  • Ensuring the CRM system is used effectively to capture leads and develop relationships.

Skills and experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years previous experience in B2B sales and account management.
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to communicate and present to senior leadership team.
  • Prior experience working in the food sales, or service industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Advanced education in Business, Marketing, or chef/ food related field is desired.
