Purpose & key responsibilities of the role
Due to internal promotions, we currently have an opportunity at our Grimsby LYOCELL Fibre manufacturing site for a full time Head of Finance to join us! As a member of the Senior Leadership Team reporting directly to the Site Director, the Head of Finance will be accountable for all aspects of financial accounting, controlling and reporting for the UK entities, along with managing and developing the corporate interface with Lenzing Group. Main tasks

You will lead and develop the UK Finance team, consisting of 4 direct reports, ensuring that appropriate accounting policies, procedures & mandates are in place and are adhered to
You will verify budgets, forecasts (including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow), monthly management accounts, and corporate reporting information, proactively challenging variances & discrepancies and communicating information to onsite senior management and to Global Finance
You will work closely with the UK Site Director and her team on operational matters to improve the financial performance of the company; and you will act as Company Secretary, preparing and signing off on UK tax returns and statutory accounts
You will manage the financial & reporting systems of the business, developing reporting tools to provide reliable, timely and accurate financial information to the relevant department heads and overseeing the preparation and submission of ad-hoc financial, operational and commercial exercises/information/reports
You will represent LGL at Group meetings and provide financial information to stakeholders; and you will liaise with external stakeholders (insurers, banks, etc) on UK financial matters
You will ensure that knowledge of the legal requirements pertaining to the UK legal entity are kept current; and that business policies and procedures are properly implemented and continuously updated to ensure compliance
You will ensure that all SHE-related matters under your remit are appropriately managed in line with internal & external requirements & standards, including your own conduct & work performance

You are a qualified Accountant, ideally educated to degree level
You can demonstrate a high degree of financial and IT competence
You are able to lead and manage a team confidently
You have up to date knowledge of IFRS standards
You are experienced in managing and balancing Corporate and Local Site demands
