Are you ready to lead our financial success story? We're seeking a dynamic Head of Operational Finance to drive our team towards excellence. In this role, you'll oversee site-based finance teams, providing critical insights and support to optimise our financial performance.



Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute operational finance strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Financial Business Partners, fostering growth and development.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of financial information, offering key insights through reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity by reconciling local and central accounts.
  • Collaborate with the W&T director for group management account sign-off.
  • Drive financial management and reporting for contract customers, enhancing performance.
  • Analyse cost and revenue drivers to optimise financial results.
  • Provide actionable insights to drive profitability and support strategic goals.
  • Interpret contracts from a financial perspective, ensuring compliance.
  • Support leadership decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • Foster financial literacy among non-financial managers.
  • Support business projects, including new contract implementation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and customers.


Performance Standards:

  • Comprehensive understanding of sector operations.
  • Adherence to management accounts processes and high accuracy standards.
  • Advanced analytical skills and logical problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to thrive under time pressure and meet deadlines.


Reporting Requirements:

  • Drive development of local P&L reporting and metrics.
  • Oversee consolidated sector reporting and business intelligence.
  • Establish and maintain financial controls.
  • Streamline finance-related business processes.
  • Facilitate communication between central accounting and sector.


Key Skills/Attributes:

  • Relevant experience with proven value addition.
  • Industry experience is a must have
  • Pursuing or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA certification.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, analytical, and commercially aware.
  • Desire for continuous performance improvement.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK with a valid driving license.
