Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive with Zoho Books to join our finance team. The Accounts Executive will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices.

Roles and

Responsibilities:

  • Record and process day-to-day financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data entry.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate financial reports for management review.
  • Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments.
  • A solid foundation in accounting principles, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), is essential for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Familiarity with local and national tax regulations is crucial. This includes understanding tax codes, rates, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
  • A strong grasp of statutory and regulatory requirements related to financial reporting, taxation, and auditing. This includes knowledge of company law, income tax law, GST/VAT, and other relevant regulations.
  • Ability to coordinate and work with external auditors during financial audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and standards.
  • The ability to analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, which can be critical for compliance and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records, invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in preparing and submitting various compliance reports and filings to government agencies within specified deadlines.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tools that facilitate statutory compliance and reporting, such as ERP systems or specialized tax software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address any compliance issues, discrepancies, or errors in financial records promptly and effectively.
  • A basic understanding of relevant company laws and regulations to ensure that the organization operates within the legal framework.


Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Microsoft Excel and Zoho books(Mandatory).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP).
