About the Role: Position summary & Main tasks/activities(short and precise definition of the role and most important activities listed) The GL will support accounting and finance by performing day to day accounting tasks, account analysis, and month end closing activities, with the goal of producing accurate financial statements while adhering to appropriate internal controls and meeting deadlines. .Experience with GL accounting. .Understand underlying business and related processes as foundation for responsibilities .Prepare monthly journal entries .Prepare monthly financial flash (3-stage management reports and covenant certificate) .Prepare assigned balance sheet account reconciliations .Prepare AR related Balance Sheet reconciliations .Knowledge of flow of AR .Knowledge about Bank Reconciliations .Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis .Prepare and lead monthly cost center actual vs. budget analysis .Assist with maintaining adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well documented, accurate and timely financial reporting .Assist with updating internal control narratives, flowcharts, and preparation of schedules for auditors .Perform other ad hoc duties as needed About you:(education, linguistic ability, professional experience, leadership qualities, soft skills) Desired Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bcom / Mcom and 8 to 12 years of experience leading accounting teams and knowledge of the monthly and annual closing process.
