About the Role:
In the role of a Finance Data and Process Reengineering Partner, your passion for harnessing data and systems will be pivotal in aiding the finance team to generate actionable insights and enhance efficiency for stakeholders in a sustainable manner. Finance has embarked on an exciting transformation journey and your responsibilities will include driving efficiency and transformation in critical finance processes, such as forecasting, working capital, and month-end close processes. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential for facilitating workshops and fact-finding sessions with both the finance function and the data and automation tribes. Your position will bridge the gap between our Data and Automation tribes and your primary stakeholders within the Finance team. This is an exciting and newly created role in finance with the scope to make it your own.
Day to day you will:

You will drive TM1 Planning and Analytics capability across Spark. You will establish a sustainable process/ structure to educate the finance function on the capability of IBM Planning Analytics. This will mean leveraging global capability to drive adoption and use cases for planning analytics at Spark.

Identifying manual processes within the finance function and utilizing your expertise in data to drive automation will be a key aspect of your role. Collaborating closely with the finance team, you will play a pivotal role in change management, facilitating the shift from manual to automated processes. Your vision should encompass the integration of generative AI within finance processes to enhance automation and promote self-service capabilities.

Working with the Data and Automation teams to enable outcomes for finance partners. You will act as the link between finance requirements and the IT function to build capability within finance IT environment.

Key point of contact for training and ongoing education of data and systems within the finance function.

Looking beyond the numbers, always looking to improve ways of working and looking for opportunities. Use your system skills to drive efficiency and automation of reporting.

What experience you'll bring:

5+ years experience in developing intelligent models in IBM Planning Analytics combined with familiarity of Data Warehousing concepts, Integration/ETL and data modelling methodologies is a must. Experience with Data Mining and Machine Learning preferred.

Project management system transformation/ change management and stakeholder engagement experience.

A grasp of the finance function, including an understanding of tasks like forecasting and month-end processes, is required. While direct experience in financial tasks is not mandatory, examples demonstrating your ability to drive efficiency in previous teams you have worked in or led would be beneficial.

A strong enthusiasm for data and systems is essential. While a formal education in IT systems or Finance is preferred, practical learning is equally valuable if you can showcase the capability to enhance processes within a substantial finance function through automation. Extensive background in navigating a diverse array of technological stacks would be preferred.

You will have shown that you can build strong relationships across an organisation to gather data and insights to support strategic decision making.
