About the role: Sustainability Advisor
Reporting to our Director of Marketing and Customer Insights, this role will see you implementing our Sustainability strategy framework and supporting initiatives across the business. Manage the audit standards and compliance process (ISO 14001) and showcase our social and environmental sustainability initiatives.
As the sole Sustainability Advisor for OfficeMax, you get to work across and promote all elements of sustainability within an FMCG environment - from how we procure product to operational distribution and sales and marketing. Partner with customers and suppliers to support initiatives and develop reports.
We have our strategy framework but we need YOU to come in and own the direction. Create impactful and meaningful change, not only for OfficeMax but for the businesses we partner with and support.
Your key responsibilities:

Implement sustainability frameworks, initiatives and programmes of work in line with Office Max's sustainability strategy
Partner with the ELT and key internal stakeholders across OfficeMax to achieve sustainability targets
Support annual review of the strategy, resetting goals and targets
Work with the Sustainability Committee to deliver sustainability initiatives
With the input of senior stakeholders, maintain the monitoring and reporting frameworks, ensuring OfficeMax is broadly aligned with Winc Australia
As the key expert in sustainability at OfficeMax, be the trusted partner working across all of OfficeMax to lead and demonstrate the value of sustainable business practices, providing expert advice and coaching to enable teams to embed sustainable business practices into everything we do
Promote/Provide frameworks and tools for use by our teams in their work sourcing, buying and selling our products

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor's degree in science, commerce or a related field
3+ years' experience in a Sustainability role
Been a key contributor to the development and execution of sustainability strategy and projects.
Demonstrable experience establishing and maintaining operating and reporting frameworks
Highly effective written and oral communication skills - ability and experience in a variety of presentation settings with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
