- Based in our modern Newmarket office, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of financial support, adding to the growth and effective management of Sedgwick NZ and its various business units.
About you:
This is a great opportunity for finance professionals, who have a curious mindset, wishing to gain more commercial experience and exposure to business partnering.
Role would suit candidates who are studying towards or have recently completed their CA/CPA/CIMA qualification or similar.
This is a varied role offering opportunities to partner with service and operational leaders. Together with supporting the annual planning process, you will be the go-to person to drill into numbers to support decision-making and add value to the business.
Desired skills and attributes required for the role:
- 3 + year work experience as a Management Accountant, an Analyst, or in a similar Finance related discipline obtained in a Corporate environment
- Completed or studying towards a CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent qualification (ideal but not essential)
- Proven experience in financial analysis, financial modelling and forecasting
- Solid foundation in accounting principles & financial accounting
- Strong relationship building skills with ability to work with all levels of stakeholders (finance or non-finance)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders
What you'll do:
- Assist FP&A Manager with deliverables and projects
- Add value and drive improvement through reporting, analysis and partner with the business (Executive team, Service leaders) and wider Finance team
- Prepare Annual Budget and forward-looking forecasts
- Prepare, track, co-ordinate and present monthly results to Service and Operational leaders
- Perform P&L review and related analysis
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders
- Work with wider Finance team to develop and maintain reports, and support business & system improvements
