The Senior Manager, Markets Operations role is critical to making this happen by taking accountability for the leadership, oversight, and governance of the Operations teams responsible for Markets Operations and Markets Transaction Management.
The role also provides support to ANZ's Treasury function and Transaction Banking buiness, ensuring the smooth execution of payment and liquidity flow in the NZ Market.
You will role model the Markets Operations strategy across the Institutional Operations business and be responsible for the time-critical delivery of systemically important high value markets settlement and payment activity.
Some of your other responsibilities will include:
Drive a customer centric culture, ensuring processes are aligned to strategy while influencing and managing expectations of team members, stakeholders, and customers.
Reshape the operational capability to assist globally connected teams deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Establish and build relationships with internal/external customers and third parties on business unit and project related activities.
Maintain a continuous improvement culture within operations, ensuring ANZ policy and procedure is always adhered to.
Work with other teams & Business Units to ensure appropriate processes and controls are in place to mitigate risk.
Acts as a 'Centre of Excellence', providing advice to the business on Settlements & Payments Flow.
Accountability for the risk environment relative to Markets & Payment Operations, including monitoring and managing the risks associated with the business and operational incidents as they arise.

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Qualifications in a financial discipline coupled with 5-7 years' experience within financial services (with Markets Product knowledge).
Experience leading and managing multiple teams, with a focus on capability development.
Experience in change management initiatives within team environments, and in remediation and process improvement.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and issues in a professional manner.
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement, management, and influencing skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills.
Comfort thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo. Proactive action taking and being persistence in addressing issues.
