To continue with our success, we currently have an exciting full-time opportunity to join our Wiri team as an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator. Your role will be to ensure employee well-being and safety across our manufacturing business. Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will actively contribute to the Global Health & Safety Management System and play a pivotal role in achieving the objectives of the EHS Agenda. Bluebird Offers You:

Key Accountabilities:

Contribute to continuous improvement and training of the EHS Management System
Create, present and record EHS training material for employees and stakeholders, including EHS inductions
Maintain hazard and event reporting process, ensuring accurate data recording
Coordinator event investigations, including root cause analysis
Supporting the business's injury management, return-to-work program and effective handling of injury claims
Coordinate business wellness initiatives and programs for employee wellbeing
Update and maintain business procedures, ensuring conformity to legal obligations and requirements
Report relevant EHS information to business stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Coordinate the assessment of hazards and risks to the business, ensuring a thorough and systematic approach
Be actively involved in preparing and maintaining relevant documentation related to EHS processes and initiatives
Assist in ensuring the effective delivery of the business's Lead and Lag KPIs
Lead, support, and drive business EHS representatives in committee meetings
Deliver trend analysis for EHS continual improvement

You will have experience in:

Leading EHS committee meetings and experience in proactive engagement among stakeholders
Proficient in creating and maintaining relevant EHS documentation
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
Experience in creating and delivering EHS training material
Ability to facilitate effective communication of EHS policies and procedures
Proficient in coordinating hazard and risk assessments, ensuring a systematic approach
Knowledge of effective risk mitigation strategies and measures
Experience in supporting businesses during annual audits, ensuring compliance with EHS standards

To be successful in your new role you will have:

A minimum of 2-3 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
Relevant technical tertiary qualifications (preferable)
Experience in injury management, return-to-work programs, and claims handling
Knowledge and experience in working with a comprehensive EHS management system
Familiarity with environmental management, sustainability initiatives, and waste reduction practices
