We are working with a fantastic multi-academy trust who have recently expanded and have exciting plans for the future. Based in south Manchester. This newly created role will see you join them as their new Head of Finance.
Your new role
As the Head of Finance, reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the financial strategy of the Foundation, ensuring alignment with the organisational goals and compliance with statutory regulations. You will lead and manage the finance teams, providing them with guidance, training, and support. You will also oversee the financial systems, processes, operations, audits, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and funding of the Foundation. You will work collaboratively with the CFO, the board of trustees, the Academy leaders, and other internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality finance services.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role as their new Head of Finance, you will have relevant accounting qualifications, experience in financial management and accounting, knowledge of accounting software and data analysis tools, strong analytical and decision-making skills, effective leadership and communication skills, ability to work with upper management and stakeholders, familiarity with financial regulations and risk management, and strategic thinking and commercial awareness. Ideally, with a background in the education sector with a multi-sight overview.
