Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay has a fixed term role to join our team as a Payroll Officer and play a crucial role in the health system at a local level.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate and keen to work in a complex environment, using AMS Leader payroll systems. We use an automated roster to pay system with a focus on getting pays “right first time” for more than 4200 roles and have a reputation of achieving efficiencies in the way we service and pay our people.
Previous experience in a high-volume payroll position with an understanding of relevant employment legislation and both individual and collective agreements is preferred but not essential.
Key responsibilities include:

Accurately and efficiently process a high volume of payroll transactions
Maintain up to date and accurate records of payroll transactions
Collaborate with the team and other departments to address payroll inquiries and resolve payroll related issues
Record payroll entries in compliance with policies and procedures

Our ideal candidate for this role will:

Be an experience user of AMS Leader and Actor systems
Be highly organised, accurate, and with strong attention to detail
Thrive under time pressures
Utilise effective communication skills
Have the ability to analyse data and problem solve
Work well independently yet also be an active contributor within our team
Have advanced computer skills
