XPS Investments is experiencing high growth and we are now looking to hire an Assistant Investment Consultant to join our vibrant London office with hybrid working.

We are looking for an individual that will excel in this advisory role, combining excellent communication skills and a passion for investments. in this role you will be working in client teams to produce strategic advice including growth portfolio design, liability hedging portfolios and cash flowing matching portfolios.

We do not offer fiduciary management and are not tied to any platforms or fund managers. Our independence is critical to being able to provide the best investment advice to our clients. We provide advice to DB and DC institutional pension schemes as well as charities and endowments.

The role:

As an Assistant DC Investment Consultant with XPS you will ...
  • Provide advice to support clients and solve problems
  • Help manage existing relationships
  • Be involved in developing innovative solutions
  • Drafting written advice to clients on a wide range of topics
  • Helping to monitor funds, managers and their performance
  • Assisting with implementing investment strategies including asset transitions support alongside our specialist asset transitions team. (Note: we do not manage any money for our clients or undertake any trading.)
  • Study for and take CFA or IFoA exams

Your profile:

We are looking for an Assistant DC Investment Consultant with at least 2 years experience in a similar role who is looking for a new challenge and who wants to be part of this exciting period of growth. This role requires...
  • Previous experience working in DC investment
  • Excellent communication skills, passion about investments with real drive and enthusiasm
  • You will be unafraid to express your views and share them clearly, thereby contributing to the investment ideas we rely on to achieve our aims
  • Contribute to our ongoing debates and thereby help influence our future direction.
  • A graduate with a strong academic background
  • A great communicator, both in writing and verbally
  • Previous experience working with AVCs and knowledge of with-profits policies is desirable.
