Your new company
You will be working for a large charity that does very important work in the West Midlands. They have an income of over 20 m per annum and, following a re-structure, are looking for an interim Finance Manager.
Your new role
You will be number 2 in finance management and be responsible for overseeing month-end, year-end and audit, as well as managing the day to day financial operations. You will oversee a team of 6 in total with 2 managers reporting directly to you.
The organisation's year-end is March 24, and so you will need to have strong financial accounting skills in a charity environment and have an understanding of charity SORP.
This role is 6 months in duration and provides a bridge between the new structure set up and the permanent recruitment of a Finance Manager to make sure there is great support and handover over the audit period.
You will have experience of working with auditors and answering their questions and query.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant, but also happy to look at technically strong qualified by experience candidates
Experience managing a team
Experience of charity accounting
Experience of reporting at a senior level.
