Main Duties/Key Results Areas:
  • Take ownership of the allocated accounts.
  • Receiving of supplier invoices, ensure accuracy of amounts paid and to correct bank accounts.
  • Processing of invoices from suppliers onto Syspro checking all supporting documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations in accordance with standard templates and deadlines.
  • Payment allocation checks on payments.
  • Sending remittances to suppliers on payment.
  • Confirming that processing on each account is complete before period closure.
  • Ensure that all queries on the accounts are resolved in time and kept to a minimum.
  • Daily commentary updates on the supplier age analysis software package for the allocated accounts.
  • All and any other related duties as expected from the employer from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Matric / tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • Min. 5 Years experience in a similar creditors role.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable will be advantageous.
  • Experience in capturing invoices in the general ledger on an accounting system.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel Skills essential (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables etc.).
  • Experience on systems such as Pastel / Syspro

  • Experience in dealing with high volume accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

General:
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by the Director, commensurate with the skills and experience of the post holder.
