Job Description: A Trainee Chartered Accountant is integral to an accounting firm. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and the skills needed to attain the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. Key responsibilities and requirements for this position include:
1. Financial Accounting:

Assisting in the preparation of financial statements for clients.
Ensuring financial reports comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Analysing and reconciling financial data.

2. Taxation:

Assisting with tax planning and compliance for clients.
Preparing and filing tax returns.
Staying up to date with tax laws and regulations.

3. Audit Support:

Participating in audit engagements, including financial audits and reviews.
Assisting with the collection and verification of audit evidence.
Preparing audit schedules and documentation.

4. Client Services:

Building and maintaining client relationships by providing timely, accurate financial information and advice.
Addressing client queries and concerns.
Assisting in the development of financial strategies.

5. Professional Development:

Pursuing the Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification through Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand - CA ANZ.
Attending training sessions, workshops, and continuing education programs to develop accounting and auditing skills.
Staying informed about changes in accounting standards, taxation, and business regulations.

6. Compliance and Regulation:

Ensuring financial practices and reports adhere to relevant accounting and auditing standards.
Complying with legal and regulatory requirements.

7. Team Collaboration:

Collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks and projects.
Supporting senior accountants and partners in various accounting activities.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
