Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing Care/Education Group to recruit for an experienced and dynamic Financial Operations Manager. A remote/office hybrid role with one day per week in the office, the rest remote based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, reporting directly into the Financial Controller. The function of the role will be to manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control functions for the group, ensuring that clients are correctly invoiced, cash collected and all payments are made in a timely manner, as efficiently as possible and KPIs are met. Your new role
Your key duties will involve developing and managing a multi-skilled Accounts Payable and Credit Control/Accounts Receivable team. You will be accountable for processing of supplier invoices, credit notes and maintaining supplier relationships. Ensuring all staff expenses are paid accurately, credit card reconciliations, all invoices are processed in a timely manner and cash receivable is maximised and aged debt is minimised. Reporting to the Financial Controller on KPI's, maintaining a short-term cash flow forecast, taking into consideration all outstanding accounts payable and receivables and develop/maintain efficient processes for Accounts Payable, Receivable and Credit Control as the group continue to grow further. You will liaise with other financial management to assist in accurate reporting of revenue, be involved in ad-hoc duties/projects, and be involved in reporting processes for AP, AR and Credit Control.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on Financial Operations Manager role, you will need experience within a similar position. Ideally experience managing Accounts Payable, Receivable and Credit Control teams with key management experience. You will have the ability to coach, develop and review workloads for other team members, strong communication skills to build working relationships throughout the business, along with good knowledge of accounting systems. You will have strong MS excel skills and be used to developing processes/systems. Experience within the Education/Care sector would be advantageous but not essential, along with knowledge of Unit4/Agresso financial system.

This permanent Financial Operations Manager role is offering a salary between £40,000 - £48,000 per annum dependable on experience. Head office based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire with one day per week in the office, the rest remote and flexible working hours.
