Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established FMCG group to recruit a dynamic and experienced Group Finance Manager based near Tetbury, Gloucestershire. A permanent role reporting directly into the Managing Director with oversight and management of the finance team, commercial financial analysis, process improvement, business partnering and more. A great opportunity to really add value in a permanent and hands-on varied Group Finance Manager role, where you can really influence the business.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve the management and development of the finance team along with monthly financial reporting including cost centre reporting, variance analysis with commentary, and monthly gross profit reconciliations. Weekly reporting on sales, stocks/production planning and cash, payroll for all group companies, along with group VAT returns. Annual budgeting including integrated cash flows, annual audit processes including providing information for the tax computations, and ONS statistical returns. You will manage the group's company cash flow, stock/costing processes, manage foreign currency exposure, and have an overview of all group company payments for authorisation. You will ensure compliance with the company's hours filing requirements, allocate insurance charges and recharge to group companies, along with being involved in process/system improvement. You will be involved in commercial processes, including pricing models and commercial financial planning and analysis, along with ad-hoc projects and duties for senior management.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Group Finance Manager role you will need experience within a similar role, ideally fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in commercial finance processes. You will have strong MS excel skills, key financial systems experience, a proven ability to motivate and lead a team along with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. You will be IT savvy and be able to improve processes/systems, key stakeholder management skills to influence at all levels, and build relationships both internally/externally. Experience within the manufacturing and FMCG sectors along with knowledge of MS Access databases, would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This hands-on permanent Group Finance Manager role is offering a salary between £60,000 - £67,000 per annum + bonus, based near Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
