The role Intro - Join a small office team and help fulfil a variety of auditing functions within this very established and specialist Accounting Practice; reporting to the Principal, this role is due to an added Audit workload
Provide assistance on several new Audits Audit Planning includes: Preparing / updating the engagement letter for the client, sending them governance questionnaires, establishing deadlines re: Work commencement Receipt of draft financial statements Work completion Principal review Audit report sign-off AGM etc
Clients range from Not for Profits to the Banking & Property sector Client assets vary from simple to more complex ie Tier level 2, $80m+ assets Using Audit Assistant, cloud based auditing software for this predominantly Audit based role Using MYOB Accountants Office, for some accounting and income tax compilation for a range of individuals, companies and partnerships is also involved
Will be a qualified Auditor in New Zealand Have NZ Audit experience Knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards preferable
Hourly rate negotiable Work from home mix possible 24-25 hours/week (can be full or ½ days) Shared corner office with natural light Learn Audit Assistant Continuing Education onsite (Monthly webinars are inhouse) Midwinter/Christmas dinners On bus route
