Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and growing Aviation business based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit for a dynamic and experienced Accounts Manager. A varied and hands-on accounting role working within a close-knit finance team, supporting the Head Of Finance. You will be involved in monthly reporting, financial analysis, project accounting, cash-flow and budgeting processes, supporting supervision of the transactional accounting team. The position will be tailored around the right finance professional and develop as the organisation grows further. Your new role


Your key duties will involve supporting the supervision of the transactional accounts team, ensuring accounting deadlines are met, producing monthly budgets, cash flow processes, reconciliation of accounts, assisting with various client projects and project accounting processes. You will utilise MS Excel for monthly reporting, financial and costing analysis of services provided to customers, along with monthly accounts preparation. You will support month-end processes, business partner with internal management and senior stakeholders around the business and be involved in ad-hoc projects to improve systems and processes. The role will be tailored around the right candidate and the position will develop as the business grows further.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on and varied Accounts Manager position, you will need experience in a similar role, strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and internal teams, key attention to detail and good time management experience. You will have a professional and positive working approach; key MS excel skills and be trained in a range of accounting systems. You will be used to working with confidential data and have experience of analysis and reporting on data. Ideally, you will be part-qualified/newly-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or qualified by experience. Experience within the aviation sector, Sage packages and supervisory skills would be advantageous but not essential.

This permanent Accounts Manager role is offering a competitive salary between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependable on experience) based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
