Job Description

About the role:
This position is located in East Tamaki, New Zealand and as the Site Accountant you will support the wider business in which you will utilize your knowledge and expereince around product costing and manufacturing. Owning the financial performance of two plants in NZ, reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a critical role as a conduit between the New Zealand business and Corporate Offices in Australia.
Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to:

Manage all cost accounting requirements on a timely and accurate basis.
Business Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to enable accurate cost control and forecasting.
Identify, develop, and maintain cost efficiency and profit improvement opportunities
Support Commercial Manager and Sales with forecasting, planning and analysis.
Develop and maintain accurate costings in relation to labour, production, and material supply.
Monthly reporting to Commercial Manager and Finance Manager (AU)
Ensure stock is property controlled, valued and accounted for
Support finance to produce group internal monthly reporting and external reporting in accordance with Accounting Standards and ASX listing rules
Assist in preparation of capital business cases
Other ad hoc duties as requested.


Tertiary qualifications - Accounting or similar
Demonstrated commercial experience as a Cost / Manufacturing Accountant
Detailed understanding of costing concepts (Standard costing preferred)
Experience in ERP systems (Axapta or Microsoft D365 preferred but not essential)
CA, CPA qualified
Sound skill set with Microsoft software and packages (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
Ability to communicate effectively.
