Te āhuatunga a te tūranga | About the roleAs the Financial Accountant reporting to the Financial Accounting Team Lead you will:
Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the day-to-day operational accounting function and ensure it is accurate and to a high professional standard,
Maintain the fixed asset register Participate in the preparation of the Annual Report,
Preparation of statutory reports and returns to external parties (Inland Revenue and Statistics NZ), and
Provide input to ad-hoc financial projects.
Check financial data as part of the internal peer review process

Ō pūmanawa | Your skills and experience
Have a minimum of four years proven asset accounting experience
Exhibit comprehensive accounting knowledge and an understanding of subsidiary ledgers
Membership of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (or equivalent) is desirable,
Have highly developed skills with Excel and financial databases
Proven ability to manage large volumes of finance work within tight deadlines; and Have a high level of enthusiasm, and excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
