Your new company The company are circa £15 million T/O and are part of a larger worldwide group with T/O of over 300 million.
Your new role
This role has arisen due to growth and we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager or Management Accountant to take ownership of the UK accounts. Working in a small established team of 3 this is a hands-on detailed all round role with a nice blend of financial accounts and commercial management accounting. You will take ownership of the UK P & L and balance sheet. Key duties are included below:


To prepare accurate and timely management accounts
To assist with local and group reporting requirements
Creation and posting of all journals required to prepare monthly management accounts, with supporting analysis and explanation of variances
Assist with US Reporting
Post payroll journals
Submit pension and health plan deductions
Raise manual invoices/ credit notes
Bank reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations
Weekly cash forecast files and sales reports
Daily reports; sales, liquidity/ key metrics
Preparation and submission of VAT Returns
P11ds
Assist with annual audit and accounts preparation
Assist with annual budget and other forecasts


What you'll need to succeed
We are ideally looking for a Qualified or experienced QBE management accountant. Consideration would be given to a first-time mover from Practice who has an Accounts Preparation background or an industry trained management accountant. The role is very hands-on as this is a small team so someone willing to do the A-Z of accounts is important. A background in manufacturing, distribution or similar is useful but not essential. The ideal candidate will have strong excel knowledge. The role is predominantly office based with some hybrid working (maximum 1 day per week).
What you'll get in return
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a UK entity whilst still have the support of a FC and FD. The group is very stable and the hours of work can be 8 30 to 5 or 8 am to 4 30 pm with a lunchtime Friday finish. Some hybrid working is considered but this is an office-based role. Salary is between £45000 and £52000 (possibly slightly more) with pension and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
