An exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent Senior Accountant - Financial Performance to join our busy and dynamic Financial Performance & Planning team at Suncorp New Zealand (SNZ). If you are an experienced Senior Management Accountant - this role could be for you!
You will be responsible for co-ordinating and producing effective and insightful financial performance reporting for senior leadership and key stakeholders. You will also be involved in the financial planning process, contributing to the annual 3-year projections and other ad-hoc financial forecasts. Your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills will enable you to quickly build rapport and relationships across your team and the wider business. You will also have an eye for continuous process improvement and be comfortable driving the implementation of these improvements as required.
Your key areas of focus will include:

Produce financial reporting data and insights from across Finance teams and business areas, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and effective communication.
Contribute to the co-ordination and delivery of the annual planning process, as well as more regular periodic forecasts, working alongside the finance partnering teams.
Produce consolidated expense reporting, including ownership of the cost allocation processes.
Support annual planning process and quarterly forecasting.
Perform deep dive analysis into financial performance as directed by your Leader.
Assist with special projects as directed by your Leader

What you'll need to succeed

Tertiary Commerce or Business degree, mandatory
CA, CPA or equivalent, desired
3+ years' relevant commercial or industry experience, desired
Excellent business writing skills
Excellent analytical capability (incl. data analysis)
Strong communication and influencing skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient use of IBM Cognos TM1, PowerBI, PowerQuery, Oracle products as well as generic Office products e.g. Excel (VBA etc) and Powerpoint
