Assistant Accountant

Your new company
Hays are pleased to be working in partnership with a locally established but globally recognised company with an office based in Elgin to support their finance team's continued development. Due to an increase in workload, the requirement for full time, permanent Assistant Accountant to join the team has become available.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be taking a proactive responsibility in supporting the wider team with daily invoice processing, bank reconciliations and journals, VAT returns, as well as supporting with cash flow management. This position will give someone exposure to dealing with the preparation of management accounts as well as supporting with month-end reporting processes, directly supporting the Financial Controller.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will be a motivated individual who is keen to progress or develop a career within finance focusing on securing a position that will allow you to have exposure to day to day transactional finance as well as managing more senior tasks. You will be comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders, presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders and a willingness to positively support in the business in their continued growth and development. Previous experience working in a small finance team will be of considerable advantage, however exposure to working in a busy finance environment will also be beneficial.

This role will be full time in the Elgin office, on a permanent basis.
