Hays is recruiting a Finance Systems Accountant to join a leading global organisation near Swindon. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and benefits package.


Your new role
As a Finance Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and developing the finance systems, ensuring they are aligned with the business needs and best practices
• Implementing and documenting financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
• Providing training and support to finance users on the finance systems and processes
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, IT, business partners, and vendors
• Supporting the finance team with month-end closing, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Extensive experience in SAP, preferably in a multi-currency environment
• Significant experience in process mapping and controls implementation, preferably in a complex and dynamic organisation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
