Hays are proud to be working with a forward-thinking organisation based in the Scottish Borders who, due to a period of growth, are looking to employ a new Finance Manager on a permanent basis.
The Finance Manager Role is a great opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is eager to for a new varied position in a growing organisation. This role offers a competitive package depending on experience, our client offers a salary of £40,000-£48,000 and a wealth of benefits including hybrid working, great pension and a generous holiday entitlement.
Working in the organisation's office based in the Scottish Borders, you will be given the opportunity to progress your career in a supportive and progressive environment.

Your new role
In your new role you will work closely with the Group Finance Director in maintaining accounting reporting and accounts payable processes, alongside playing a key role in establishing new process. You will aid in the preparation of monthly management reporting to Group Finance Director, including analysis of budget versus actuals, prepare and process monthly payroll and prepare the annual statutory accounts for all UK entities.
You will get the opportunity to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders. This role is full-time with the potential for flexible start and finish times alongside a hybrid working scheme.
You will also have line management responsibilities for one member of staff, however previous line management experience is not required.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have previous relevant experience, but comprehensive training will be provided.
Fully qualified or QBE professional will be successful in this position. You will possess strong analytical ability, commercial acumen and be capable of communicating effectively with non-financial stakeholders, providing meaningful insight to help educate decision-making. A willingness to grow and learn within the organisation is an essential trait required.
