Position Overview:

In this role, you will oversee our accounts payable processes, ensuring that financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Review and meticulously process invoices with a sharp eye for detail, adhering to organization policies.
Enter invoices into our accounting system accurately for payment.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Regularly reconcile vendor statements to keep our records up to date.
Assist in the preparation and processing of employee and volunteer expense reports.
Verify expense receipts for compliance with our guidelines.
Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers, in a timely manner.
Maintain thorough records of all payments and receipts.
Collaborate on month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Generate essential accounts payable reports and contribute to overall financial reporting.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure strict compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records, including vendor contracts and payment documentation.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounts payable processes.
Work closely with the finance team to implement best practices for the benefit of the organization.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, with nonprofit experience being a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and compliance is advantageous.
