Prospero Teaching is working alongside a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational, state-academy, secondary school for children aged 11-19, in West London to find Finance Manager to start ASAPThe school says has a passion for learning and aims to make a great school that provides an outstanding and creative education for its students. It tries to ensure all its stakeholders are valued and can contribute to the school community, and to become one of the best secondary schools in the local area and nationwide.The ideal candidate;can understand and interpret financial data and prepare and present reports for a variety of stakeholders.Has experience of budget monitoring.can support/work alongside other members of the team when required.has varied experience of MS office and school MIS.Analytical ability to understand and present clearly the financial performance, cost drivers, levers for change and implications to senior management and non-financial staff .A curiosity to get into detail beyond just the financials, explore what operations or activities lead to the financial outputs and hence understand the service in-depth.The ability to work with staff from both finance and non-finance backgrounds, including school heads and the Schools Forum, take proactive steps, support business decision making and produce the necessary financial modelling and financial implications for key reports to the Schools Forum and elected member.Strong financial control, process/organisation and staff management abilities.HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT 8am - 4PM Monday - Friday Full-time ideallyYou will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure
