Alpine Export NZ Ltd co-manufactures premium Air Dried pet food and is currently one of New Zealand's largest Air-Dried pet food co-manufacturers, with its head office located in Tauranga, New Zealand. The continued growth of the company has resulted in them opening a factory in Palmerston North. While experience in accounting is essential, it's not a requirement to have mastered every area that this role is responsible for because we have the ability to train someone who has the right attitude and aptitude to apply your analytical skills to manufacturing accounting. Based in Longburn and reporting to the Accountant in Tauranga, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that the financial and commercial success of Alpine Export's new manufacturing site is optimized. Areas of responsibility will include:

Payroll
Accounts processing - Accounts Payable Invoice Entry
Debtors - including Sales Invoices
Monthly management reporting in conjunction with the Accountant
Inventory, consumable management, and costings.
Purchasing
Annual Audit support

Skills and experience essential for this position:

Previous accounting, payroll, data entry and accounts experience
Attention to detail and consistently deliver accuracy
Versatile collaborator who can adapt of various team dynamics
Agile and flexible
Proficient in excel and general ledger reconciliations
Basic knowledge of NZ tax legislation
Knowledge of NZ payroll legislation
Highly motivated and able to work autonomously
