My client is a large NZ business, privately owned that is a true NZ success story. The business operates in the manufacturing sector and continues go from strength to strength. The operations are 3-4 separate companies currently with sales across NZ, Aus and the USA. An ERP system change is imminent which should allow this business to optimise their position and continue to move forward and capitalise on their already strong operation.

The Role

In this blended Financial/Management Accountant role you will report through to the Financial Controller, whilst working closely with the CFO and the Operations and Commercial teams in a wider finance team of 8.

Your duties will include:

Duties

• Assist the FC in the financial accounting function of the group. These duties may include and range across:

• Assisting with monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow preparation, Month end procedures, Variance Reporting, Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables, General Ledger reconciliations, Tax Reports - GST / FBT returns, and achievement of reporting timetable with high levels of accuracy.

Partnering with the operations and sales team regarding pricing changes and explaining the impact on the P&LAssist in the co-ordination, preparation, analysis of monthly forecasts and annual budget.Maintaining the fixed assets registerCashflow forecastingComplete all Weekly and Monthly Reporting as directed by the FC.Support the FC and Finance team with adhoc projects and other duties as required in line with the changing needs of the business and function

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a hands-on Financial/Management Accountant who can demonstrate commercial acumen and who can partner with multiple stakeholders across the business. You will be a critical thinker and have strong analytical skills as well as the ability to streamline processes with strong excel skills.

Ideally you will have experience working within the FMCG or Manufacturing industry or will have exposure to working in a large and complex organisation. You will be a self-starter with a pro-active mindset who enjoys working cross-functionally.
