Management Accountant

Your new company
An established logistics company based in Nelson, Lancashire is looking to expand their team and recruit an experienced Management Accountant on a permanent and full-time basis. Since the start of Covid, this business has grown exponentially, now exceeding a turnover of £80million. The Finance team are led by a passionate FD and FC, who are keen to progress and develop the members of their team throughout their careers.


Your new role
As Management Accountant, you will work closely with the FD & FC and be responsible for producing the management accounts pack for the group. Your role will involve preparing financial results on a weekly and monthly basis, management of the month end process, review of balance sheet reconciliation and identifying risk. You will analyse various forms of data including the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, CAPEX and margins alongside revenues, actuals and forecasting. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours daily (inclusive of your lunch break) with flexible start and finish times.


What you'll need to succeed
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate experience of producing management accounts previously, with a methodical approach to work and excellent organisation skills. Ideally, you will be working towards your CIMA / ACCA qualifications, demonstrate advanced Excel skills (V lookups, pivots, etc) and have a strong analytical mindset.

In return for this, you will be offered a generous benefits package inclusive of a salary up to £40,000. Alongside this, your package will include 33 days holiday, a cycle to work scheme, hybrid working with a minimum requirement of 3 days in the office per week and a large range of other benefits. Regarding flexible working, you will be expected to work 8 hours per day, inclusive of your paid 30-minute lunch break, meaning you can start and finish around your commitments. If you are actively studying, business will provide study support for your CIMA / ACCA.
