Finance Analyst

Your new company
A highly successful and well renowned Blackburn based business are looking to recruit an experienced, Part Qualified Finance Analyst to join their team on a permanent and full time basis. Newly acquired, this business is currently reporting a financial turnover of £200million with aggressive growth plans over the next 12-18 months.


Your new role
In your new role as Finance Analyst, you will get the opportunity to work closely with Senior Finance professionals across the wider business and play a key role in providing valuable commercial insights and analysis to support business decision-making whilst also challenging financial performance. Your role will involve you business partnering, identifying and monitoring KPIs, preparing weekly trading reports / dashboards and preparing monthly presentations on trading performance whilst identifying key trends. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve processes or reporting data whilst working alongside the management accounts team to understand monthly performance. Alongside this, you will review of P&L cost items, quarterly forecasting, leading & managing budget preparation alongside any other analysis or tasks as requested by the FC. This is a full time role, based in the office working flexible hours between Monday and Friday.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will be working towards your ACCA/CIMA/ACA studies, demonstrating qualities such as excellent communication, confidence and ability to discuss numbers with senior members of the finance function and being proficient in Microsoft Office applications and great knowledge of Excel. It is essential you will have strong commercial finance and business acumen with an analytical mindset.
