A reputable Accrington based business are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to lead their transactional finance team at their head offices. Spanning 20 years in their industry, this business has expanded year-on-year, offering a third party solution to clients across the UK and internationally. Currently reporting a financial turnover of £45million with aggressive growth plans, this is an excellent time to join a local, thriving business.
Your new role
In your new role as Finance Manager, you will report into the Group FC and be responsible for the management of the transactional accounts team, including purchase ledger, sales ledger and invoicing. You will manage a team of 3 ambitious AAT studiers, who are looking to advance their careers with the business and who require a Manager who can improve results, engagement and development. You will be responsible for purchase ledger and weekly billings, ensuring all invoices are processed, approved and preparing payment runs whilst managing customer credit process and approvals. As the role continues to grow, you will take on additional responsibilities such as management accounts, therefore a desire to progress is essential. You will be working Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm on a 3:2 hybrid basis.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, experience of team management is essential with proof of development of staff. You will be AAT qualified (or equivalent) and have experience working in a similar role previously, ideally with exposure to a high volume business. Good IT skills are essential, with a strong understanding of Excel (vlookups and pivot tables) and the ability to work on bespoke systems.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be offered a salary between £30,000 - £40,000. Your benefits package will include holidays starting at 21 days, increasing by 1 day annually to a max of 28 days plus bank holidays, hybrid working with 3 days in the office per week, flexible working, pension and onsite parking. In the new year, they have further benefits to add to their package.
