Your new role
Working for the Finance Manager within a team, you will assist the transactional team with daily queries and accounts support. Your main duties will include:
Bank reconciliation
Control account reconciliation
Resolving queries and liaising with internal contacts
Participation in month end closure of the ledgers
Journal entries
Accruals/Prepayments
Overheads
Profit & loss
At busy periods posting transactions with the team
Daily use of Excel including producing reports


What you'll need to succeed
It is likely you will already be studying your professional qualification and already have a proven track record in a varied general accounting position, with experience in some month end duties. You will have strong IT skills particularly in Excel and be able to cope in a high volume environment, which is essential. Having come from a larger company, ideally professional services background, you will display excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate a good level of accounting knowledge and experience as well as the ability to work under pressure with strong use of initiative, leading from the front.
